EXTERIOR

The front fascia of the Innova Crysta looks wider with a two-slat hexagonal grille that runs vertically down the bumper, sweptback double barrel projector-halogen headlamps with DRLs, angled fog lamps, and striking sharp lines on the bonnet.
The side profile looks like its predecessor with boxy curves, but with the changed tail-lamps and a slight change in the rear with the body lines, make the Innova Crysta look wider and bolder.
The wheelbase in of 2750mm and the tyre size is 215/55 R17 tyres. The ground clearance of 190mm is good enough.

The Innova Crysta exteriors features a chrome finish with high gloss lower grille radiator, automatic LED projector with automatic headlamp levelling and front fog lamps.

INTERIOR

The Innova Crysta features a fresh dashboard design with a radical silver outlining on the dash, dual tone premium leather seats, soft-touch door pads, ample of storage spaces, a full-touch multi-purpose infotainment system, sophisticated steering wheel design with controls mounted on it, 3D instrument cluster with large TFT MID, and a lot many features like phone holder with USB port and AUX-in, glove-box cooling, one-touch rear seat fold, and Eco and Power drive modes.
But all these features come in the top-end variants, whereas the lower variant have basic interiors and the initial variant doesn?t even get a stereo.

The Innova Crysta interiors have various seating options, such as 7/8 seater in GX, GX Automatic and VX variants. The ZX variant is available with only 7 seat combination. The Innova Crysta interiors feature silver line decoration and a hazel brown red finish instrument panel with 3D design 4.2-inch TFT multi-information display.

ENGINE

The Innova Crysta comes with 3 engine options ? a 2.7L petrol engine, a 2.4L diesel engine and a 2.8L diesel engine.
The 2.7L 4-cylinnder DOHC dual VVti petrol engine churns out 168Ps of maximum power and 245Nm of peak torque, and comes mated either to a 5-speed manual transmission gearbox or a 6-speed automatic transmission. The mileage offered is 9.89kmpl in MT and 10.83kmpl with AT.

The 2.4L GD VNT intercooler diesel engine produces a maximum power output of 149Ps of power and a peak torque of 343Nm, and comes mated to a 5-speed manual transmission gearbox. The mileage offered is 15.10kmpl.

Whereas the 2.8L GD oil-burner diesel engine churns out 177Ps of power and 360Nm of torque, and comes mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission gearbox. The mileage offered is 14.29kmpl.
The ride is also smooth due to the double wishbone with coil spring and stabilizer in front and 4-link with coil spring and lateral road at the rear. As far as braking in concerned, there ventilated disc-brakes in front and drum brakes for the rear.

Performance and Handling

Safety

The safety features include, improved suspension with pitch and bounce controls, ABS with EBD, 7 SRS airbags, hill-start assist control, vehicle stability control, and the GOA body structure which is rigid and absorbs the impacts to quite an extent.

CONCLUSION

The Innova Crysta is the perfect car to buy if you are an Innova fan. And even if you are not, the improved body structure with lots of features, and its predecessor being the segment leader, this vehicle is worth a go.
