The KUV100 by Mahindra& Mahindra is an SUV-ish hatchback. The KUV stands for a Kool Utility Vehicle. With the KUV100, Mahindra is targeting the urban and dynamic youth.

Mahindra & Mahindra has been known to be a maker of robust and rugged passenger vehicles, since a long time. However, with the advent of the compact crossover/SUV market and its subsequent fame among the Indian consumers, it is obvious that Mahindra also had its own offering/s in the segment. Mahindra KUV100 marks Mahindra’s entry into the lower spectrum of the compact SUV segment. With dimensions in-lined with crop of premium hatchback the Mahindra KUV100 brings compact SUV design language to lure customers into the Mahindra’s fold.

Coming in with a contemporary take on tallboy masculine hatchback design, the Mahindra KUV100 is shorter than 4 metres in length, thereby utilizing the excise duty benefits, yet staying true to traditional flow lines of Mahindra. Mahindra KUV100 is flamboyant and has a striking design for the segment with its huge wraparound headlamps combined with a rather sleek grille that a neat Mahindra & Mahindra logo. From exterior styling to cosy interiors and stuffed cabins, Mahindra KUV100 have it all. With the KUV100, Mahindra believes it has created a comparatively more muscular and stylish compact crossover in this new segment. Looking at the design the Mahindra KUV100 will entice a lot of the younger breed of customers. Thereby, furthering Mahindra & Mahindra’s reach into younger India consumer.

The design philosophy of much larger cars, the Mahindra KUV100 looks a lot like an SUV, which has a dimension of a hatchback unlike its traditional competition. The front fascia of the Mahindra KUV100 looks sporty and aggressive at the same time with the presence of large wraparound headlamps with thin and sleek grille on a large muscular bonnet assembly. On the sides, the KUV100 looks bigger than it actually is with its tallboy design and the presence of a crease that runs from the middle of the rear door panel to taillamps give the car a muscular appeal.

The inside of the KUV100 feature a flowing dash design layout which is simple yet unique for its class, along with an easy-read instrument cluster with DIS and gearshift indicator. The 6 seater is a 3+3 seater with a bench like seat in the front, while the 5 seater gets proper bucket seats in the front row. Things to keep in mind before Buying Mahindra KUV100 NXT

When buying a new car in general one must look for things like body panels that are out of line, or load bearing beams that seem to have been damaged. The next thing to check whether the paint is original or it has been repainted, a quick check under concealed plastic panels is a great way to check for unmatched paint. Another thing to check for is underbody rust in humid or sea adjacent areas.

A good way to check if the car has been rear-ended is by checking the boot. Flip open the spare wheel cover and remove the wheel completely. If the car was repaired after an accident the floor will have visible signs as the surface wouldn’t be smooth as it would in an undamaged car.

In the end, always remember to check for complete documentation including service records. Also, do check with the insurance company for any past claims, which will make you aware of the accidents the car has been involved in. Last but not the least, get the car checked from a trusted workshop before closing the deal.
