INTRODUCTION
The Bolero is Mahindra?s SUV, which is leading the company?s SUV market for 10 years in a row. Recently, Mahindra has launched new version of the Bolero: the Mahindra Bolero Power+. The ride, performance and handling of the new Bolero Power+ has been improved tremendously.
The front fascia of the Bolero Power+ features a Jeep-style vertical front grille, big square headlamps, the bumper looks aggressive with Scorpio-like design, and from the side, the bulky bumper has been cut down to give it a fine fit-finish. From the rear, it has not changed much from its predecessor.
The all-new Bolero has basic interiors, a combination of beige and black along with a simple and very basic dashboard. The AC vents are rectangular, the music system is upgraded and gets a USB port and Bluetooth telephony. The old analogue instrument cluster is now replaced by a digital console. There is a centrally mounted console on the dash which displays the average fuel efficiency and distance to empty along with date and time. Also the seat comfort is quite good and the front seats have a chair-like feel.
The Bolero Power+ is powered by a 1.5L 3-cylinder mHawk70 turbo diesel engine which produces a maximum power of 72Ps and a peak torque of 195Nm, and comes mated to a 5-speed manual transmission.
The ARAI certified mileage of this engine is 16.5kmpl.
The front features an IFS coil spring suspension and the rear has rigid leaf spring suspension. It is equipped with 215/75 R13 tyres.
Even the dynamics have been improved. Also the NVH levels have undergone some improvement and almost no outside noise enters the cabin.
The Bolero is equipped with convenience features like ? power windows, rear central armrest, micro hybrid system, and power steering as standard. The Bolero does not come with air-bags as standard and even it does not feature ABS with EBD.
With more power, more mileage, and a more peppy ride the all new Bolero Power+ is the perfect 7-seater, now with extra cushioning, better maneuverability and an extended warranty makes the Bolero an ideal vehicle for your needs.
The car targets the price sensitive customers who are looking for a luxurious commuting solution. Even the prices of the Swift (both top-end and base models) are placed lower than its competitors.

Need Improvement
When buying a new car in general one must look for things like body panels that are out of line, or load bearing beams that seem to have been damaged. The next thing to check whether the paint is original or it has been repainted, a quick check under concealed plastic panels is a great way to check for unmatched paint. Another thing to check for is underbody rust in humid or sea adjacent areas.
A good way to check if the car has been rear-ended is by checking the boot. Flip open the spare wheel cover and remove the wheel completely. If the car was repaired after an accident the floor will have visible signs as the surface wouldn’t be smooth as it would in an undamaged car.
In the end, always remember to check for complete documentation including service records. Also, do check with the insurance company for any past claims, which will make you aware of the accidents the car has been involved in. Last but not the least, get the car checked from a trusted workshop before closing the deal.
