INTRODUCTION
Whenever there is a new Ferrari in the market, it’s always a news to really get excited about. This new GTC4 Lusso is the replacement for the outgoing FF with similar design but a new badge that says GTC4 Lusso, with 4 stand for the car being a 4- seater and Lusso for luxury. The interior being covered in beautiful Italian leather makes it a truly luxurious Ferrari.
EXTERIOR
The Ferrari GTC4 Lusso exterior has a traditional Ferrari body language similar to the outgoing superhero the Ferrari FF. The best part is that Ferrari did not make an SUV out of the GTC4 Lusso like many other car makers are doing. Fortunately, Ferrari is still making the kind of cars it always has been giving birth to, cars that can give you the thrilling time of your life. Technically, the GTC4 is a shooting brake, which is a 2- door wagon. The design still is so great and appealing that it exempts it from any design criticism.
The front is a bit different and the rear has dual tail lamps, just like the F430. Ferrari GTC4 Lusso colours are over 11 in number, and one can also choose the type of alloy and the colour of brake callipers.
INTERIOR
Lusso means luxury and the GTC4 is a true luxury breed. The Ferrari GTC4 Lusso interior is wrapped in such fine leather that one feels that she/he is sitting in a leather glove, giving that cosy feel. There are a variety of leather colours and carpet colours, and one can also choose the colour of the stitching on the leather.
The GTC4 gets a new more than 10-inch multimedia touchscreen display screen with great graphics. It is easy to use but comes with little bugs and flaws. The next- generation steering wheel still contains almost all secondary controls. The display screen on the passenger side is also touch- sensitive, showing music, navigation and other performance details. For the rear passengers, there is a flowing armrest and dual A/C vents.
ENGINE & PERFORMANCE
The GTC4 comes with two variants: Lusso and Lusso T. The Lusso comes with a 6.3L V12 engine that produces a massive 681 bhp of power at 8000 rpm and 697 Nm of torque at 5750 rpm, and Lusso T comes with a 3,855 cc V8 engine developing 610 bhp of maximum power and an astonishing torque of 760 Nm at 3000 to 5250 rpm, which can make you go bonkers!.
Both variants of Ferrari GTC4 Lusso feature a 7-speed gearbox with 2 transmission options,s with one at the front and the other at the rear. The front one is for delivering power to the front wheels and this front 2-speed automatic chooses its gear depending on what the 7-speed is doing at the back. From the 5th gear, this super machine just becomes rear wheel drive. The 4 wheel system on the GTC4 is an evolution of the system on the FF as this one comes with a rear wheel steering, making an additional input to Ferrari’s chassis control computer. It makes the rear wheels turn up to 3 degree for more agility, stability and ride quality.
BRAKING AND SAFETY
Ferrari GTC4 Lusso specifications include carbon ceramic brakes that can bring it the Lusso to a dead stop from 100-0 kmph in just 112 ft, which is not great, considering the fact that it has Carbon. Talking about safety, name it and you have it;, it has ABS, ESP, hill assist, airbags (passenger, driver and side), chassis computer having different modes of traction control and, not to forget, the new rear wheel steering.
CONCLUSION
We feel that the new Lusso is a great replacement to the FF, and a perfect combination of performance and luxury, though the seats are a bit of problem because of their hard-rock nature. Put your foot down on the throttle and it won’t disappoint you at all. Considering the added features and technology, it does all the traditional stuff. It has all the Ferrari characteristics as standard. You sometimes might want to drive this Lusso to hear every bit of sound produced by the mighty engines it comes with. After all, Ferraris don’t have engine sound; what they have is engine music.

Need Improvement
When buying a new car in general one must look for things like body panels that are out of line, or load bearing beams that seem to have been damaged. The next thing to check whether the paint is original or it has been repainted, a quick check under concealed plastic panels is a great way to check for unmatched paint. Another thing to check for is underbody rust in humid or sea adjacent areas.
A good way to check if the car has been rear-ended is by checking the boot. Flip open the spare wheel cover and remove the wheel completely. If the car was repaired after an accident the floor will have visible signs as the surface wouldn’t be smooth as it would in an undamaged car.
In the end, always remember to check for complete documentation including service records. Also, do check with the insurance company for any past claims, which will make you aware of the accidents the car has been involved in. Last but not the least, get the car checked from a trusted workshop before closing the deal.
