India being the only second market globally to get the facelifted 2021 Jeep Compass, it is pretty clear that how Jeep is ambitious with this update to its core mode line especially for Indian market. The 2021 Jeep Compass facelift went on on sale in India on 27 January 2021. The new Compass has been launched with a modified design, upcoming age styling and loaded with new and revised features. The company has already revealed the SUV and it will be offer in 4 main variants with multiple trim options based on its engine, fuel type and transmission. The new Compass will come in Sport, Longitude, Limited and Model S variants which is priced between ₹ 16.99 lakh and ₹ 28.29 lakh (ex-showroom).

Exterior and Interior modifications
You can hardly notice any changes in the exterior of new Jeep compass except some minimal modifications. All the updated variants include revised and slimmer headlights with integrated LED DRLs. It also features an updated version of Jeep’s seven-slat front grille, a tweaked front bumper with a larger air dam and new fog light housings and alloy wheels. There are a new set of smart-looking 18-inch alloys while at the rear the tail lamps have been revised marginally. Along with tweaking rear bumper, there are a couple of additional paint options as well, including stunning shade of blue with the Model S exclusive matt grey dual-tone highlights.
The interior of Compass has received a much more modification than the exteriors. You will get to see a completely revamped dashboard, with a new floating 10.1-inch touchscreen which is placed in the centre. Just below the screen, there are the new slim AC vents and HVAC controls for full comfort and luxury. With double-stitched leather inserts on the dashboard and a new three-spoke steering wheel it tried to grab the attention of its expected audience. The facelift also includes a full10.25-inch digital instrument cluster for smooth control.

Features and Equipment
2021 Jeep Compass Facelift’s top variant is Model S which is equipped with a 10.1-touchscreen that gets FCA’s U-Connect 5 infotainment system. It is further integrated with Amazon Alexa support, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support for full flexibility as per the user’s choice. The infotainment system also have the ability to receive an over-the-air (OTA) updates.
Moreover, the Compass facelift is loaded with top-notch features that offers a complete package for comfortable drive along with luxurious vibes. Starting with LED headlights that are connected with car technology, it has everything you can ask for like a panoramic sunroof, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, dual-zone automatic climate control, wireless charging, a 360-degree parking camera, leather upholstery, powered tailgate, 8-way electrically-adjustable front seats with ventilation, and 18-inch alloy wheels.

There has been no compromises made on safety of the passengers. The overall safety features on the Compass include 6 airbags, ABS with EBD and brake assist, traction control, ESC, hill-start assist, ISOFIX child seat mounts and parking sensors. The EPB adapts based on the driver’s actions. The automatic drive away release system senses if the vehicle is safe to launch and disengages automatically.
Engine and Powertrain options
The Jeep Compass facelift is powered by a 173hp, 2.0-litre diesel engine and a 163hp, 1.4-litre turbo-petrol engine, same as the outgoing model. Both engines come With six-speed manuals as standard where the petrol has the option of a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic and the diesel has a nine-speed torque converter auto option, both the engines are reliable and powerful. Keeping the off-road drive lovers in mind, the Compass facelift diesel has also been launched with a four-wheel drive system with surface-specific drive modes.
